VAULT400
leverages delta-block processing which only backup up incremental changes to
the database, on average 2-3%. The data is compressed prior to
transmission. (Ranges from 2:1 to 10:1 on System i) In addition, it
supports advanced file filtering capabilities so that only critical data is
backed up or restored.

I can't tell you how
many times we've gone to conduct a restore and the tape is
either faulty or we had a problem loading it. That and
waiting for off-site delivery of tape is a evil we no longer
